Description

The L415 pipe (Grade X60 Pipe) is made from carbon-based steel alloy. The alloy used to make carbon steel Api 5l X60 Pipe Suppliers consists of manganese, phosphorus, sulphur, titanium, vanadium and niobium. Acero API 5L X60 has two levels of pipes - the L415 PSL1 & the L415 PSL2. The API 5L X60 PSL 1 is a specification for product standards that are not required to undergo stringent testing. In contrast the PSL 2 X60 Grade Pipe has varying chemical and mechanical properties. The API 5L grade x60 PSL 2 has stricter testing and quality checks. These API 5L Gr X60 Pipes, Api 5l X60 Erw Pipe need to be impact tested as well as non-destructive inspection. API 5L Gr X 60 PSL 2 pipes have better performance as compared to the PSL 1 Steel Pipe Grade X60.

The surface of API 5L X60 seamless pipes is usually flawless as they are treated. These treatments include heat, varnish, anti-corrosion oil, black paint oil, coloured paint etc. These treatments give tubo API 5L X60 pipe anti corrosive properties. This is true especially if the API 5L X60 PSL2 has been processed through galvanization. The zinc molecules form a layer on the carbon steel alloy thus preventing the API 5L X60 steel pipe from being corroded by rust. The end of the API 5L X60 smls & API 5L X60 ERW Pipe could either be square cut or bevelled. The packing of the Steel X60 Pipe will be dependent upon the API 5L X60 pipe sizes.
