EN 10219 S235JRH Welded Steel Pipe

Introduction

The Pipe Material S235jr can come under different standards such as ASTM A106, ASME SA106 and other international standards. The grades vary with the chemical composition as well. There are grades with chromium, molybdenum, copper, nickel and vanadium in the composition. The EN 10025 S235jr Pipe can have minimum yield strength up to 275MPa and the minimum tensile strength up to 665MPa and the elongation rates from 20 to 24%. The seamless steel pipes are produced through cold drawing or hot rolling processing from the ingots of raw materials. These materials are not heat treated for strength.

The EN 10219 S235jr has high corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and high toughness. The pipe sizes range from 4mm to 660mm in outer diameter with wall thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 20mm and heavier. The EN 10025-2 S235jr Material Properties allow these pipes to be welded with most traditional welding methods without the need for preheating or post weld heat treating after the welding. The applications are mostly in boilers, heat exchangers, construction sites, power generation plants and other high pressure high temperature applications.
